Register Now!

Cost:
The Evening Program is free to the public. There is a $4 Park entrance fee per vehicle to be paid the day of the event at the entrance kiosk.

Location:
The Evening Program will be at the amphitheatre near the barn in Chino Hills State Park (accessed via the Chino Hills entrance).

Time:
The Evening Program begins at 8:00 PM.  This part of the event will end approximately at 9:00 PM on Saturday, July 19th.

Event Description:
Join the State Park’s Interpretive Association to understand fire. Fires are a normal part of nature’s cycle in these hills, but if fires occur too frequently they can change the vegetation community upon which wildlife depend. Or if fires don’t burn frequently enough, when they do burn, they can burn “too hot” and can destroy the vegetation. Before the extreme heat and Santa Ana winds begin, we invite you to learn about fire and its relationship with the Park and neighboring communities.

Registration:
If you want to ONLY attend the Evening Program registration is NOT required.

Cost: The Camp Out is $10 per person. The $10 covers your camping fee, apple cider and popcorn before the Campfire program, and coffee/hot chocolate in the morning.

Location: The Camp Out will be held in the Group Campground at the Equestrian Staging Area in the State Park also accessed via the Chino Hills entrance.

Time: The Camp Out will begin immediately after the Evening Program.  We encourage campers to come early (between 3 & 6PM) to set up camp before dark.  The Camp Out will end on Sunday, July 20th around 10 AM.

Event Description: The Camp Out is a fundraiser for the Interpretive Association.  During this overnight adventure in the State Park campers will learn about fire, its role in Chino Hills State Park and some of the fires that have burned the area. Camping reservations are required and can be made through our website. Campers must bring all of their own equipment and supplies. We highly recommend carpooling, arriving early to set up camp, and enjoying the sunset. The Interpretive Association will provide campers with a warm cup of hot cocoa for the kids or coffee for the adults in the morning.

Registration: Campsites are first come, first served and you MUST REGISTER AND PRE-PAY for your campsite to be reserved.  Space is limited. Registrations are incomplete until payment is received.  When capacity is reached our registration will be closed.  Follow this link to register for the Camp Out.
